Alligators are mostly found in freshwater. That is the salt marsh, so I doubt there would be much danger, but enough that I would never kayak there.
Those turtles live in a small lake in my backyard. There are so many of them! They like to sunbathe on warm days. I see them up on the banks and on the logs, etc. Luckily, no alligators live in that lake!
Taken over the weekend at the new Butterfly Exhibit. It's only been there a week & it is quite nice. There were only 3 or 4 species of butterflies at the moment but they anticipate many more over the summer. There is a $3 fee for adults & $2 for children in addition to the gardens regular admission fee.
Thanks for sharing the butterfly pictures. I'm glad you mentioned that they only have a few types there now. I had been planning to go soon, but after what you said, I am going to wait until later on in the summer. So, thanks!
Thanks for sharing, baylovers. C-D tells me I've repped you too much.
You beat me to it. We tried to go yesterday but there was a 1.5 hour wait, so we decided to save it for another visit. I guess it pays to see the butterflies at the start of a visit, rather than the end.
You will see a little paper clip thing. Use that to add attachments and they will show up as thumbnails and you can add them directly from your computer without having to upload the pix to another site.
Hope this helps, although I do like seeing the big picture! (little joke there!)

LOL good one Thanks for the help. I wanted to post some pics of my buddies at the beach. I found them very charming and I was quite smitten with them. However, I didn't want people to have to scroll down for several minutes just to find a picture that wasn't of a seagull.
