I am looking for a home in a semi-rual/private setting, no HOA restrictions, under 10 miles to shopping, and surrounding homes that are maintained. Would the area between 75 and Santa Barbara Blvd fit that description? Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

Are you talking about the areas running west off Santa Barbara?

If so, then yes that area fits that description.

Give us some development or street names so we can give beter advice.

I've been searching for the same but in a modest under 150K price range. I end up in Golden Gate, finding nice clean places next to properties that are completely uncared for. So even if a home purchased is purchased inexpensively and completely redone you may be faced with a sketchy situation that will never change. I suppose that is the trade off for having no restrictions. You've got to hope for at least some organization by neighbors immediately adjacent to you. It's frustrating as the area has some nice land with tree cover and the ability to be close enough to Naples and all it offers. I'd be interested to here what other suggested area are fitting.
