They're in season here right now. If you find some fresh picked, they are incredibly good.

I saw blueberries as the tag and couldn't resist looking. I miss eating blueberries. I used to live in Alaska and would pick them on the side of the mountain - wild blueberries the size of grapes. I like to freeze them and eat them frozen as a refreshing treat. The only thing I don't like is they turn my lips, tongue and teeth blue. I have so many wonderful recipes with blueberries. Ok, I think I have to go get some now.

They grow many different varieties here. I usually get "mixed bags". The guy who brings them to me says there are 6 different varieties in each bag.

I like to eat them frozen as well and I like to put them frozen into a glass of Chardonnay. Cools the wine, takes out any aftertastes and they're great when you get to the bottom of the glass.
