I have a question for you Naples' residents. A friend of a friend has a beautiful large home on Marco Island which she will not be using for a year as her family is being relocated to London for the year. Is it too far from Naples to be a good rental for someone who works in Naples or someone moving down to Naples and wants a rental for a year while they decide where to buy?
Thanks for your help.

Depending where in Naples is that you work, from Marco Island to lets say the Coastland Mall (Macys, etc) is about a 15min drive, give or take with traffic lights. Its really not far at all

I partially agree with Dom.

It depends on where in Naples you commute to, with commute times increased drastically in the winter.

Fifteen minutes to the mall I don't agree with unless it is 3AM in the summer. It will take fifteen minutes just to get off Marco at peak season.

Marco is sort of isolated so if you are house hunting, unless just on Marco, I would think it would be tiring driving back and forth. It depends on how wide your home serach is.

It's just over 20 miles from the Marriott on Marco to the Naples pier. The Marriott is on the far side of Marco. On a good day that's a 30 to 40 minute drive, it all depends on the traffic lights. In season, it can easily be more.

Good Luck
