Does anyone have info on the quality/safety of Naples City drinking water? We are somewhat new residents here and a neighbor, a long time resident, has warned us about drinking the city water. He says we should drink bottled water, or at least have a filter on our kitchen faucet. Is he right or just paranoid? Hate to use bottled water (cost and all that plastic) if it is not necessary. Tried to do a search but seems the info is about oceans, beaches, etc. Thanks for any input you can offer.

I'm not sure where the water comes from to our taps in North Naples, but I have no problem with or worries about drinking it.

North Naples here too...while it isn't that kick you in the teeth well water we had grown accustomed to, it seems fine to me.
Haven't had it tested, and sort of don't care. It isn't inexpensive, esp with the sewer rate added however.

Thanks, motordavid. Does anybody know anything about southeast area - Collier and Davis? Or can we assume that all area water supplies have to conform to the same standards?

Different water companies service different parts of the county.

Although I am on well water now I had no compliants when I was on city water, nor have I heard of any (except the cost).
