We do a lot of shopping at the Immokalee and Juliet Super Walmart in North Naples (not bragging about that fact, but it is convienient). I can not help but notice that they are clearing the land big time across Juliet to the west. Any idea of what might go in there?

Saw that, too...it's been going on for several weeks. Just what Collier County needs: maybe another store/office strip?

FLBirdwatcher,
Thank you for that link; I read that column occasionally, but missed that specific date.
Another 'bank' and stuff...oh well.

Oh, yay..... But it's not really considered "progress" in collier county unless they add at least one traffic light, but, no left turns please......

What Tripower455 said.
Been all over the US, driving; I don't recall the plethora of left only on green arrows anywhere, that CC has.
Stoplights here are like mini-lifetime experiences.

In order to make a left off my street, which is 90% of the time when I leave the house, I have to make a right then a U turn 1/4 mile down the road. I've been getting noticeably more wear on my passenger front tires since they widened 951, particularly on the heavy SUV.

Yup... I drive home from work in the wee hours. Nothing irritates me more at 2:00 AM, after driving close to 3 hours, than sitting at a 2.5 minute red light for no reason.

The SB I-75/Immokalee Rd. exit light is like this... I used to treat it as a stop sign, but in the last few years, Collier County traffic control deputies outnumber civilians, so it's not worth the risk......

At least driving at that time is a thrill down 41 when the lights are are set as flashing caution

I wouldn't use the word thrill, but driving at those hours is MUCH more relaxing than driving during normal waking hours.

Anytime I have to travel long distances, I always try to do it at night, the later the better. I refuse to drive to or from Tallahassee during normal waking hours, because it's 6+ hours (not counting the accidents) of pure misery.

I wish I could commute to work both ways in the middle of the night, but don't want to waste half a day off in Orlando.

Unfortunately, not all the lights go to flashing mode at 11:00 PM.... The Immokalee/Logan is another one that drives me nuts. Turns red, even with no crossing traffic. Oh, and I avoid 41 like the plague, day or night. I think the last time I was on it was last August!
