I mean the list goes on... none of that is for families though?

My god there is never anything good about here is there? And you say the man was gay yet chewed your ear off for wearing a shirt in support of gays? And I love how you complain about the very people who are the same age as you. If you hate it that much go to counsel meetings and propose more "family" stuff to do instead of trying to convince people to go elsewhere all the time. Your children are grown and they have young children, like myself, so we find things constantly for ours to do. You obviously aren't taking advantage of what the town has to offer, you've stated frequently you don't even want to. Oh and btw we have blood relatives who are gay, live here and never had a problem once.

This town is BIG and getting bigger every year. If they want to be close to family and this is where they are then go for it. Its great here we had to leave once to come back and appreciate how wonderful things are and the access to so many luxuries is endless. I've spend the past 3 days on the beach with my daughter while my friends up north froze and were miserable wishing for summer. We weren't bored one day this past season. Did something every weekend. I guess thats the difference though between people who look for things to do and those who just complain there's never anything to do.
I don't think she meant that in a bad way, not like you are taking it. She said chewed her ear off not, chewed her out.. slight difference.

Thanks for your infput everyone! We're still looking a few years (and some legislation) out, but a lot of my concerns are being put to rest. Next time we're down for a visit we'll look at the area with more of an eye to moving, I think.
