Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a few places around the island where we could find:
1. Florida Old Style restaurants, architecture
2. Pier's (if any) preferably secluded without a million people on them
3. A less crowded beach(s)
4. A place where we could find a few larger sea shells? (or do we have to go on those boat tours for that?)
5. A place to watch a nice sunset? not crowded
6. Jetties (if any)

Thank you,

1.Old Marco Inn/Sand Bar/Stan's/Snook Inn
2.No piers. Just one in Naples
3.No. Just less crowded than "in-season".And I don't think they're crowded now though.
4.No and (no)(I don't know of tours that offer places with BIG shells.
5.All sunsets are beautiful on the island, as far as crowded-not.
6.No

What beaches have you been to? When you say larger shells, larger than what?

Few "large" shells make it to the sand without getting broken up. The ones that do make tend to have live occupants and are illegal to keep. I have seen some large conch shells found buried in the sand and exposed after a storm. Not an easy find on either Sanibel or Marco.......
