Hello All,

I have researched and read and now need to make a decision about a Jan 2014 condo rental in Naples. My husband would like to play golf and we enjoy riding bikes. Our adult children (ages 26 & 28) may visit for a few days and we can be flexible on location, but want a place that has active social activities and would like something fairly updated but reasonably priced. I have contacted owners in the following complexes, all with availability and within the target price range. Please tell me your thoughts on these properties.

Which complex would you choose:

1. Cypress Woods

2. Heritage Bay

3. Vasari

4. The Quarry

5. Vanderbilt Golf and Country Club

6. Tarpon Cove

Any insight would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

I can't comment on activities but all those places are nice.

Vasari is in Bonita Springs, close to the Naples border.

Tarpon and Vanderbilt are probably the oldest and even then we are talking early-mid 2000ish.

I would make sure your husband is allowed to play golf at these places. I know some of those are private coarses and will not allow renters to play golf even if the owners are members. Just a heads up.

Yes, very good point. A few places I called, specifically, Tiburon, Vineyards, and Strand, renters are not allowed to transfer golf memberships and can not play! Yikes, that would be a good way to ruin the vacay!
