I'm right near 951, so we do hear a little road noise, sirens etc. every so often, but it's not at all intrusive. If you move out a ways, you won't have that.

Crime is pretty low in Naples. We've never had an issue in the 26 years we've been here.

Thanks Tripower.

I'm interested in the Alva and LaBelle areas but they're so close to Lehigh Acres which I have read on these borads is a ghetto.

In your situation I would look at Ochopee. Close to Miami, extremely rural, but you'll be a good hour from an ER.

It depends on what your priority is. Closer to Miami-Ochopee. Closer to stores/health care-Golden Gate Estates.

If you like Sean Connery flix . check out "Just Cause" which takes place in Ochopee.

Tiniest Post Office in the US!

My favorite quote: "People in small south Florida towns are like crabs in a bucket. When one tries to crawl out, the others drag him back in"lol

I've actually considered O over central Florida. But I'm still confused. Love the 'Glades.

Ochopee and north isn't a bad area to look into as since part of her requirement was to be reasonably close to a medical facility.
Both the clinic at Marco or Physician's Regional on Collier are just a hair over 1/2 hour.
I would think there would be more 'for sales'' in GG, though.

There's not a lot of anywhere that meets my needs. 3 acres or more, a two stall barn, completely fenced, in ground pool caged.

Well, it may be that you'd have to build a barn, install a pool, put up a fence...one of or all three.
Or, if you want perfection....spend more

Yeah, I really don't wat to have to build or renovate, those days are long gone. We never completely finished this place and with DH needing a new hip he can barely keep up with taking care of two horses, so that's not happening. I'm done. Oh, we might do some small things to whip this place into being ready to sell, but the bathroom remodel is not going to get done and the floors will probably never get done. Where we are it really wouldn't make that much difference in price, everything up here is a fixer.

@Tripower455. Do you get flooded after heavy rain? Can you grow coconut trees and other tropical fruits and flowers where you are?
