We are planning on renting a home around 108th ave n and 6th. Since my parents will be paying for half (and have only stayed in old naples), I kinda want to try and sell them on the idea of renting this home in naples park. Unfortunately I know nothing about the area. Any help you fine folks can give me to sell this to my so stones picky parents would be appreciated.

How far a walk to a beach from there? If a 25 or under walk is impossible then how is the beach parking sitch?

Is this specific street/area nice? Well maintained? Safe for walks? Safe in general?

Can one walk to aNy restaurants? Not including chains?

Any green space or parks close (within a few mins drive) for my 3 year old to kick a ball or swing?

Any other selling points or negatives to this specific area of naples park?
Thanks in advance for all your help!!

Aseppy

Ps - we have lived a long time in cities and are used to/fine w walking more that he average person.

GOOG Maps is your friend...
If this the crossroads area you mentioned, the 'beach' at Delnor-Wiggins Pass is less than a mile to the west,
and restaurants by the dozen are just a half mile walk east.

No idea on 'how it is' in the area, though the sat shot looks decent/good. Others will add good opins.

We live in Naples Park on 108th, very close to the area you stated. We often walk to the beach (.9 miles) or ride our bikes. If you do not care to walk there is metered parking much closer or as motordavid stated Delonor-Wiggins, where an all day car pass will cost you $6.00. We personally like Delonor-Wiggins as the beach isn't as crowded.
We also are within walking distance of Walmart and restaurants, both chain and local. In fact, there are several local restaurants on 41 that are definitely worth trying. In addition, the Mercado is within walking distance which features upscale shops, great restaurants and Silverspot, a cutting edge movie theater. Everything you need is close by.
We have never felt the area is dangerous by any means, however, you always need to be cautious (spoken like a true parent!). Our neighbors are friendly for the most part. In addition, we walk in the evening after dark and feel safe. Not saying that nothing happens there though. We love the area and feel it's underrated, at the least.
There is a grade school nearby for grassy areas. I would recommend Naples Park, without hesitation!
