Just started noticing this upon moving to Naples

I start tearing uncontrollably every morning on the way to work. Are allergies bad this time of year? I heard something about a red tide that can affect people?

My boyfriend has not been affected at all, maybe it's just me?

You are just so happy to be here?

Sorry, couldn't resist a bit of humor. We just moved here yesterday. We have not been out much yet, but have not noticed anything like that happening.

Good luck!

I use to tear driving to work. Especially on nice days. But now that I am retired, it never happens.......

My eyes tear up a lot here too, probably allergies. Stuff blooms year round here so get used to it! Stores like publix make me tear up too from it being so dry .

Huh, maybe just psychologic

Two days in a row I was tearing so bad I had to pull over!

I stopped putting on makeup thinking it was something I was doing, maybe just something in the air i guess

Thanks anyway!

Do you work downtown-ish area?

Click on this map from the collier mosquito control district: http://71.16.167.68/mapvision/cmcd/ -- at the right hand side are the dates they've sprayed downtown lately. See if any are near the area you tear up when you go to work. These pesticides are rough on the eyes.

I live in 2 places in Florida....2 weeks a month in Sarasota and 2 weeks a month in Naples. When I am in Naples, my allergies are always worse and yes, my eyes tear up. My husband's eyes itch. It is not as noticable in Sarasota.

Naples is just more humid, hotter, has more bugs and more things in nature to kick up the allergies.
