Just got a job in Naples last weekend, will be moving this June. We plan to rent for a couple of months so we can really search around the area for the place that suits us best. We have 4 kids and are looking somewhere between 200k-300k. Schools are not a concern as employees of Collier PS can take their kids to any school regardless of where they live. Would like some input on the pro/con's of the three areas. I have seen some pretty spectacular deals and we have visited 3x in the past 12 months to look around. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I assume you are working for the school district. It would be helpful to know which school or at least what part of town. You have to be carfeul about commute issues, especially in the winter.

I can help with Naples. The other two not so much. If you post areas or developments of those choices we can give more specific advice.

I'd think twice before I got too much into shuffling 4 kids all around Collier Co. for school. It's a BIG place! Naples alone is huge and can take 45 minutes in season (when school would be in session) to get from one end to the other.

That's way E of Naples, just South of Ave Maria. Closest neighborhood is Orangetree. There are several others along the Immokalee corridor. You might check Ave Maria too if you're Roman Catholic.

Anything else can be a long commute.

Good luck in your search

commute won't bother me much, coming from 'the big city'....been told its 17 minutes out there from just inside 75, my current commute is always at least 30 minutes so i am ok with that...

Estero and Bonita Springs are in a different county and school district. I don't know if the transportation deal would apply.

Good Luck in your search.

I think you're a little confused, here's a link that will show you where they live by zip code and address. When I ran my zip, 34102, I found one within a mile radius. FDLE Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators - Neighborhood Search

When I looked at the addresses listed with the county as Naples (just the first couple pages) all were outside the city of Naples. Many were much closer to your job.

I didn't see a way to look by city boundary but it might be worth your while to check with the Naples Police Dept.

Good luck

Beth
