We are in the process of purchasing a new build home at Winding Cypress in Naples. (Built by DiVosta) Does anyone have any experience in dealing with DiVosta at this location? What has your experience been like? Any advice you can offer. Thanks

We built the Dunwoody model in VillageWalk of Bonita Springs. The one option that we did not purchase - and wish we had - was the 4' extension on the garage. We did not buy the pool package opting to have that done after we closed on the property. We did not buy the hurricane-proof windows, either...not sure what advice to give you on that option. We did have shutters installed following the completion of the project. We worked with Mark during the selection process: he is very good and appreciated his suggestions.

Thanks illini7173, I appreciate the feedback. If I might ask was your expense on your pool similar to the cost of their pool package? Or what was the differential as we are debating a pool as well.

My only suggestions having gone through a build are dependent on residency. If you are planning to be a full time resident, hurricane windows are worth the cost if the builder doesn't overcharge for them. A pool done at build time minimizes the mess and also is covered by the builder's warranty. If you are a part timer you can pay some to put up the shutters and take them down and you won't be around for the mess.

By choosing to not use DiVosta, we were able to select our pavers vs. the standard 'pillowtop' paver in all the DiVosta pools. Secondly: we feel that our pool is a bit upscale from DiVosta's standard pool.
Relative to the warranty: same as the DiVosta's. Cost: pretty much the same as we dealt directly with a pool builder = no mark-up % going to DiVosta!
Net/net: no regrets on our decision.
