Hello everyone,

I just recently uploaded a post about my family and I looking to move the the Marco Island/ Naples area. (Please go check that one out and help me with some advise / light on there ) Just wanted to start a 2nd thread because while my family and I are not only planning our move there- we are also looking to start up a family business there. Would like to get some input there from the local residents living on the island year round, as to somethings they would maybe like to see or perhaps see more of...some ideas, things they island could use?

I figured why not just ask directly on here.

I've been to the island myself many times with my family who owns homes there...it's sort of our special place. That being said, I have an idea of what is already existing and have my own thoughts of what would be nice to see as well as far as convenience and amenities go. However, being a local resident is a completely different thing and I am sure they know what they want and don't want to see.

We want to truly make this not only our home but our community for our family, for the long haul.

Thanks for your help!

Marco resident here.
When in season we avoid restaurants on Marco dues to crowds and lack of parking. Some sort of a grub hub would be nice when you are wanting a fish dinner from a local restaurant.

A high end deli might work, maybe with Italian pastry's as well. I've also talked to many people walking to the beach from Tigertail who would pay $5 for a golf cart shuttle to the water. The State might want a cut though. And a water taxi to pick up people from their homes to take them to dinner and back.
All of these though would be slow in summer, but more and more are staying year round.
