You might check this out It's a neighborhood bulletin board that has become popular in my part of Naples. I assume it is in others. Might give you a little better insight into a community It's called nextdoor.com. So far I've rescued a lost dog. (Dog found me and I found his owner on there) I got some free white frangipangi and became aware of a couple kids cruising cars down the block.

But here's the deal with Nextdoor: you can't "visit" the page for a community where you don't live. You have to register with your neighborhood and zip code and can only see your own page. We moved just days before Irma and I could not follow our neighborhood updates once I out in my new zip code.

In our Venice area Nextdoor, we see posts from several surrounding communities, though one can't post in some other specific community, but those surrounding communities also see 'our posts'.

It is a decent site for local info, though we also have a POA BB within the community.
