Does anyone have any information about this newer Lennar community?

If you scroll up a bit and to the right enter Lennar in the “Search Forums” and many posts will pop up that you can read and review comments from many on their Lennar experience.

Best to visit any builder’s development. Look to see if the location is in a prime area (i.e. Hospitals, Schools, Shopping, Entertainment) or more to more rural to see what suits your budget and taste ( in that order).

Be critical of the home’s “bones” more so than the interior staging. The eye candy may be nice but it also comes at a cost. Models are built to get the wow factor going.

The lot you can get is important. We got in early on a lake front where the opposite side is protected woodlot. Nicer for us to have that view vs. being across a lake looking at others homes.

We opted not to get a Front porch as we had no interest sitting on a porch looking at traffice drive by and look into the homes across the street.

We passed on the pool ( well, they call those pools but are narrow and only as long as the back of our house. We can walk to the community center with pool, gym, TV/card room, kitchen etc.

We find garages are tight especially if you have SUV’s (full and mid size ones) so we git a three car garage.

Side door option to the house in case power goes out I can still use a key to get in and out of the house.

We passed on hurricane windows. Zurich insurance has a deductible buy back policy that sits aside your property policy. For $200-300 a year if a storm hits the policy will cover the property deductible (2-3% of the home’s value)

No carpets.

Security cameras covering all the sides of the house and in the garage.

Good luck with your research and visits to many communities you can visit

You might want to consider LaMorada as well, which is another Lennar community directly adjacent to Bent Creek. Bent Creek started out as a Pacific Standard community, they merged with Ryland and became Cal Atlantic, which merged with Lennar. We looked at Bent Creek before we decided to move elsewhere in Florida.

Looks like EFIS being used on the Bent Creek home’s exterior. Is that so?

Agreed. We looked all over more than two years ago. We built new so we do not have legacy construction issues.
