Any reason why and if you were to buy what’s your budget?

I already bought my home 4 years ago. The OP's budget is $400,000. If I were buying with a $400,000 budget today I would buy in North Naples with a community entrance not on Immokalee nor Pineridge. I wouldn't buy too far east of I75, I would be looking at SFH and condos. Most likely a resale. I would be comparing HOA fees, CDD fees if any, Taxes, County Club fees, golf, etc . I would be looking at a community with mature landscaping since I don't want to wait for the palms trees to grow LOL. I would be looking at the amenities and how they are maintained. Is the pool water clear and warm? Is there a clubhouse and is it clean. Are the buildings fresh looking with no paint chips. Are the roofs clean or dirty throughout the community. If you'd prefer a community with mostly retirees with a few families mixed in I would see if there are any basketball hoops in the drive way and pool toys in the pools and the opposite if you want to be in a family community with kids. I would look at the community/country club newsletter and see what activities are available. I would consider the road noise.

I would make a list of what I want. EX heated pool, close to shopping, close to beach, close to friends, close to places I like to go to. I would realize I won't get everything on my list. Which I didn't LOL

I would go to open houses on Sundays to get into the communities that I think I might like. This way I can feel free to check everything out without being rushed and without a realtor. I would talk to people who live in the community and ask them how they like it. If I don't like the community, I wouldn't look at homes there not matter how nice.

I ended up buying in the Vineyards and am very happy here. The good thing about Naples is that there seems to be something for everyone.

Well said, I second this. Another reason why this area is so great. Not to mention Bonita & Estero nearby with plenty of shopping/restaurants and a little bit lower prices on some products.
