Does anyone know if you can farm (not commercially) and use farm equipment such as a tractor in the Golden Gate Estates? Is the noise that farm equipment makes allowed in the Golden Gate Estates? Are there any other farming issues one should be concerned about?

Ok it looks like you can farm for non-commercial purposes:

"Field crops, for consumption by persons living on premises"

Does anyone know about tractor usage, if its allowed?

Tractor?? like a commercial size tractor or like a smaller John Deere?

Thank you for your response. Do you have one you recommend? The Golden Gate Estates lots are 2.5 to 5 acres on average. I would think that a 23XX or 26XX Kubota would be a good size tractor. But my question is more towards can you use a tractor and is the noise a tractor makes allowed in the Golden Gate Estates?

I'd be surprised if it weren't allowed. There are a lot of noisy things being used every day in the Estates.

Ya know, people are so messed up these days in limiting your freedoms and rights, you better ask every official in town and read every code/restriction.

The "woke" crowd may have slipped in some kind of crazy amendment!

These clowns are hellbent on curtailing what you can do on your own acreage.

I wouldn't be surprised at anything when it comes to your personal choices and your liberties.

Do your homework, I would hate it for you if you purchased a tractor and some fool says "that's too big" or you "must have an Electric tractor"...."no diesels allowed"..

And NO, I'm not kidding LOL

Get that tractor. It’s always better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.

Agreed...UNLESS you're dealing with a strident HOA Declaration, Condo Board or an over zealous County Commission....lol

Better not to go off "half-cocked"....but I agree totally with the sentiment.

You have to be prepared and informed to deal with MF-ers at all times

I bought a Kioti 24.5 HP tractor for my property in GGE. Maid in the Carolinas and less expensive than a Kubota. I have a 60" belly mower and a bucket. Remember that GGE is zoned agricultural, at least where I am located. There are basic noise restrictions like playing your boombox so loud that half the estates can hear it.
