While looking for homes in the Naples area, I noticed a couple of houses I liked on Realtor.com recently changed their flood rating. Is every home on the same street generally rated the same risk level, like a 2 or 4?

The house we purchased as well as another house I looked at, had changes on the Realtor site under Environmental Risk within a couple of weeks. Do these ratings change frequently?

Thanks for any info, I’m trying to learn more about flooding, and was wondering if any homeowners have had their ratings changed and if this is something that changes yearly, monthly or how does it work.

The only important information that matters is what’s on your flood certification. If you don’t have one then get one for $350-600. It tells you everything you need to know including what FEMA flood zone you’re in. I would not be using realtor.com for information such as that.

That makes sense, being new to the area, and never having to deal with the possibility of flooding, there is a lot to learn. I’ll ask my realtor about the flood certification, thanks!
