Does anyone know of any indoor or outdoor ranges in the Naples area? My husband had handguns & we also have a couple of rifles and hes going crazy not being able to target practice.

There are two indoor ranges......

Fowler fire arms.... Fowler Firearms and Gun Range

The Lee sherifffs indoor range............ Lee County Gun Range (http://www.sheriffleefl.org/gunrange - broken link)

You must purchase your ammo from them, and is handgun only.

The best deal (IMHO) in the SW Florida area is the Cecil M Webb outdoor range near Punta Gorda......

http://myfwc.com/docs/Safety/CecilWebb_brochure.pdf

There are several ranges, for handgun, rifle, skeet, etc. bring your own ammo, and targets, and a staple gun to put your targets up. Pay $3.00 per person, or $6.00 for a car load of people. Stay as long as you like. Attended by range personell, so it isnt like a visit to the wild west. Safe and family friendly. No clubs to join, or annual fees to pay(unless you want to).

Unfortunatly, I am not aware of any ranges in Collier county

Try contacting your local Mosque.

I'm sure they could point you in the right direction.

Chuckle...

I don't know if your husband is into sport clay shooting, but I think there is a place in Naples for that. My Dad was in a club a few years ago, I don't even know if it is still opened. I know my husband would love to go clay shooting once the house is done...if that ever happens.

If I find out the name and where it is at, I will pass the info along.

I know he did call the one in Naples, cant remember the name, and its been closed for 3 years. We did check that Cecil Webb that Yachtcare spoke of and although its in Punta Gorda, were probably going to take a drive next w/e & check it out. Along with his handguns, we have a M1 Garand and also a Springfield. They are amazing to shoot.

You'll probably make some new "buddies" there fast, hoping for a chance to shoot one of those.............(j.k.)

I havent used the rifle ranges there, as they allow rimfire at the handgun range. But it's generally a pretty friendly, community feel, with lots of pleasant folks around to help, and just chat with.......

the Cecil M Webb outdoor range near Punta Gorda is a great place to shoot. i was just there 2 weeks ago. Been there a few months ago and while we were at the riffle range with the AR 15 and the AK 47's the range guard said we could do rapid fire if we wanted for short bursts. They usually don't allow that. WOW, never saw the dollars fly out so fast. Also you can't shoot gangsta style there either. Their range, their rules!

I've been to but never shot at the Fowler range. You must use their ammo, and it's not cheap there. I've bought ammo there since they were the only ones to have it at the time but brought it home.
