Chance to move from UK to Florida Gulf (Naples, Mount Dora: appointed, live in)

I have good experience of tourism & hospitality trades and would like to put these to use in Florida if possible. I’m open also to any business propositions that would legally enable me to move to the States. Currently I own a retail reproduction antique business in southern England, but am now ready at a ‘mature age’ to take on a new challenge that would enable me to enjoy life both at a business level and socially. Has anybody out there and ideas or offers to make?

Well, Naples is gorgeous and I doubt you'd be disappointed if you visited here. But, business wise, like all of Florida, things aren't booming, that's for sure! There are a lot of second had stores here and some do carry antiques, but overall I think people in this area are into "new". But, you'd have to be the judge of that for yourself.

There's a town in Central Florida by the name of Mount Dora. Do check that out on the internet. It's charming and lovely and I can picture someone from the UK liking it very much. They are also very much into antiques in that area.

Sorry about delay in replying to you.
I agree with your comments about Naples, I've been there and found it to be just a 'little different' to most other towns on the gulf. Haven't come across Mount Dora though. That's another piece of research for me to do. As a Brit (limey) getting in to the States is quiet a problem at the best of times. As you point out just at the minute I guess it's really tough with the economy being as it is. However, it's said that one person’s misfortune is anothers opportunity. So if I do manage to sell up in the UK next year I’ll be thinking hard. If you have any contacts for me to follow up I would appreciate the information. Technically at my age I guess I’m looking for a business proposition that qualifies under the EB5 banner for entry. Thanks again.
