Not too bad. I make the trip every morning, leaving Hville @ 6:20 AM and leaving downtown around 4:30. I am always at my desk no later than 7:00 and am home by 5:15-5:20 every day. Leaving an hour or so earlier will make it even quicker. I'd guess if you left at 5:30, you will be downtown around 6 or 6:10 at the latest and back in Hendersonville around 3:40 PM or so.

There are several alternative ways to get into downtown other than the interstate. Not sure where you're heading downtown, but look at Ellington Parkway (shh, don't tell anyone) as another less-hectic way of getting into downtown on a regular basis.

Your question is really difficult to answer without knowing exactly where in Hendersonville you will be commuting from. If it's the Center Point area, you can make it to and from downtown in 15 minutes driving the speed limit at those times. On the other hand, if you're at the very end of Indian Lake Blvd or Walton Ferry Rd, factor in an additional 15-20 minutes.

You should have NO problem at those times. Traffic usually doesn't start forming until 6:00 in the AM and 3:45 in the PM. The only exception may be friday afternoons when traffic seems to start earlier.

It all depends on where you live in Hendersonville, though. Mansker Farms/Center Point to downtown is 15 minutes but Bluegrass area is more like 25.

To clarify, I live on the Gallatin/Hendersonville "border"...past Saundersville Road. So my commute is probably a little longer than others who live closer to Nashville.

I have a good friend who lives in Mansker Farms, and his drive to Clarksville is "only" 50 minutes.
