Hi everyone!
We just moved to Brentwood over the weekend and are nearly settled. I am so glad we decided to visit and drive the areas and not just focus on particular towns just because of their reputation. While Franklin is very nice, our family found Brentwood to be a better fit---and we are NOT the "keeping up with the Joneses" types!

Anyway, back on topic. With Opry Mills closed for the forseeable future, any recommendations on nearby outlet malls with a large variety of stores to choose from? I have two boys who like Gap, Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Boden. I will NOT pay full price or usually even sale price for the labels, but if there is an outlet mall nearby (reasonable driving distance ~ 1 hr or so), I don't mind if the price is good. Any suggestions??

Thanks!!

Opry Mills isn't an outlet mall. It's a tourist trap. They get every penny that they can get.

Also, you should watch for the consignment sale season. There are quite a few upscale sales in March and September in Williamson County. They advertise heavily.

As Griz83 said, there's PrimeOutlets in Lebanon. It's kind of small, though.

If you're up for a weekend getaway, Sevierville/Pigeon Forge is an outlet mall paradise. I usually head to Tanger Outlets which is in Sevierville but almost in Pigeon Forge. It's got over 100 outlet stores including Nike, Banana Republic, Gap, J. Crew, Adidas, American Eagle, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Aeropostale, Izod, Oakley, Nautica, Polo Ralph Lauren, Timberland, UnderArmour, Van Heusen, Eddie Bauer, Pepperidge Farm, Harry & David, Rockport, Kirkland's, Clarks Bostonian, PacSun, Corningware, Bath & Body Works, Wilson's, Reebok, Tommy Hilfiger, Skechers, Haggar, and more that I can't even think of at the top of my head.

Wow--thanks everyone! I just assumed Opry Mills would be super since it is so close to home. But, I'm willing to wait until Sept. to check out those consignment sales. And I did see the Lebanon one isn't too far, so we may head over there and check it out as well. Not up for any weekend trips to Pigeon Forge yet, so we'll keep that on the list for later in the fall.

Yes, I just heard this morning about Encores and More holding theirs in the old Cresent Furniture building on Moores Lane in Cool Springs.

Opry Mills was (will be again) a very nice mall, but it's not an outlet mall. I think a couple of stores advertise that they are an outlet store, but the prices are retail.
