Does anyone know of an apple grower in the area? I hate storage apples ! They taste like cardboard. I'll even pick my own if I have to! If you've got an apple tree, let me know..the first slice of my homemade apple pie is yours

Hell as long as they just fell off a tree, I'll take em from Georgia! If they grow so many peaches, they must grow apples too!

Is the Tennesse soil not conducive to apples? I've been here three years and haven't seen any roadside farmers selling apples..thanks!

I love my APPLES. Unfortunately Tennessee is not an apple producing state. It ranks way down in apple production.

Look at this site for some interesting facts: All about apples

Great website. Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised that Vermont was not listed as a top apple producing state since they seem to have a lot of apple trees and apple cider presses. I like to mix the variety of apples when I make apple pie and apple crisp.

I have about 9 mature apple trees in my yard but we don't spray or prune so the apples aren't very tasty, I'm afraid. The deer and squirrels usually get them all along with our pears.

I checked out Pick Tennessee Products Welcome to Pick Tennessee Products. and found these two places in Davidson County for apples:

Buffalo Valley Farm, 7556 Buffalo Road, Nashville, TN, 37221
Morning Glory Orchards, 7690 Nolensville Road, Nolensville, TN, 37135

Didn't see Rutherford County listed (I think that's Murfreesboro) but the pick TN site is well worth checking into.
