Why do you keep reading it? It's an anonymous letter (much like these replies!) posted on a blog by a parent who doesn't want to be rezoned from Ravenwood.

If you like facts, here is the latest on the rezoning. Dr. Looney wants to vote on it Nov. 11.

Final WCS rezoning plan would move 3,108 students on Brentwood Home Page

Do you know if all of the maps have been posted online yet?

For the life of me, I can't find it on their new site.

Williamson County Schools

Normally they put stuff like this on an active link on the front page, but I don't see it. Maybe you can find it.

I've been looking all morning and even the article in the Tennessean doesn't have graphics.

I really just want to know if my house is inside or outside the 1/2 mile radius for elementary schools.

Yeah, that's going to be an interesting new twist in the real estate market!

I can see agents advertising homes inside the "radii."

The Latin geek in me loved how Dr. Looney corrected himself last night

I read this today. Not much different: Williamson schools make fourth attempt at districtwide rezoning plan | tennessean.com | The Tennessean

I disagree with the grandfathering in, it makes matter smore complicated. Same with the "Three with me."

Somebody's got to pay the piper. Do it and get it over with.

They should just set a date and say - "That's it. No more grandfathering in after 2012."

That will give people plenty of time to make other plans.

The gist of the letter said: Williamson County school officials took another stab Monday at a districtwide rezoning plan.

The newly revised plan — the fourth in a series of proposals — would affect 3,108 students, roughly the same amount a previous plan proposed
Many of the attendance zones mirrored those in the previous plan. However, in the new plan, more students were shifted to Centennial High School.
The school board charged Looney with developing a districtwide rezoning plan that would last at least five years. The plan was to consider proximity to schools, develop clean feeder patterns and use up existing space in the schools.

The plan has evolved over time and was halted at one point because capacity numbers at various schools were determined to be incorrect. A subsequent study of all of the schools' capacities led to the discovery that Centennial High was larger than previously believed.

Along with the maps, Looney presented eight proposals to board members, including a community meeting to be held Nov. 4 at Franklin High School, and a special called meeting Nov. 11 so that board members can vote on the plan.

His other proposals would be to declare a one-mile radius around middle and high schools where students cannot be rezoned. For elementary schools, the radius would be a half-mile.
