As someone that paid more in taxes for a 2 bedroom 1 bath condo, in the northeast, than for my 3 bedroon 2 1/2 bath home, I'll gladly pay the amount caused by the rate increase.

@Wmsn4Life: Agreed. It's certainly a compliment to the opportunities available across the socioeconomic board in Williamson County. While the luxury homes get all of the publicity at times, there are homeowners taking advantage of all that Franklin, Cool Springs, etc. have to offer -- for well below the median sales price of Williamson County or Greater Nashville.

From Jackson and Nissan, the everyday conveniences of Cool Springs, and the charm of Historic Franklin - hopefully even non-parents (as we were for years) can see benefit and the attraction of Williamson County Schools. As a small business owner, I’m as resistant to taxes as anyone, but especially in my business, I’m extremely appreciative of what the county has built; and aware of how their revenue has been affected by the last few years.

Looks like the county commissioners are favoring a sales tax hike instead of a property.
