I am thinking of relocating wondering about the marine industry there, and the pay scale. I am also an expierinced carpenter woundering the pay scale for this to?

A lot of the marine places are going out of business. As for pay in either industry, at the hourly level, they are more interested in paying as little as possible than hiring well qualified people and paying appropriately. In the salaried management and executive positions, qualifications carry more weight.

Nova Scotia would be a long commute from Nashville.

Hendersonville, being situated on Old Hickory Lake, has the most boat dealers in the Nashville area and I think most are doing pretty well. I would start there.
