Hello everyone,
My husband and I will be moving to Chapel Hill at the end of May from Los Angeles. We have 2 kids who will be turning 2 and 4 this summer. We would love to get involved in the community right away. Does anyone know how to find information on kids' sports/classes/activities etc? My google searches have so far produced nothing.

I would also love info on any nearby preschools if anyone has any! Thanks!

Chapel Hill is a very small town. Most of your opportunities will either be in Lewisburg (15 miles to the south, but a small town itself), Columbia (small city 23 miles to the west), or Franklin (large Nashville suburb 30 miles to the northwest) and Murfreesboro (large Nashville suburb 33 miles to the northeast).

Honestly, it's a pretty isolated area IMO. Not to say it isn't a good place to live...but there's really nothing close to you there.

Oh, I did forget to mention that there is one area to definitely check out that is actually close: Henry Horton State Park, which is just to the south of town. There is a swimming pool, basketball courts, and volleyball there...but I don't know about organized activities. There were always a lot of kids there from what I remember. Start there and check in to see what they have.
