I live in Mt. Juliet and was told by many that my allergies will get better if I take a spoon of local honey each day. My allergies have been very bad this year - we have been here since last June. I am having trouble locating local honey. Any ideas? I am willing to try anything and get off all the meds I am on: Zyrtec, Singulair, Flonase, Mucinex D and Neti Pot.... UGH!!!

You can buy it in small bottles or in bulk at the Nashville Farmers Market. They also sell it at Hendersonville Produce and the Hendersonville Farmer's Market which starts later in the spring. The two I see most come from either Goodlettsville or Bethpage.

I get it at the Franklin Farmers Market too. Some of the best is from Lebanon, which would be great for you. GOod luck! Allergies can make you miserable, I hope this helps.

I started mixing honey with peanut butter (about 2 parts PB to 1 part honey) back at the beginning of March, enough to put on a couple of slices of toast, about twice a week. In the past I'd have horrible headaches and the symptoms of a sinus infection this time of year, every year, but this year the worst that happened were a few sniffles.

I love honey as well and have felt better this year. I have been taking honey with my hot tea and have been doing well. I get my honey at the local farmers market and I definitely recommend going with a locally produced honey.
