I share the excitement that ground is being broken on a number of intiatives in the area and that there is apparently a bright future for Indian Lake, but I fear the current infrastructure will end up being such a negative factor that it will ultimately drive people away, and not to, this retail center. I cannot imagine why anything less than what was built at New shackle would be thought of as sufficient considering the types of retail and mixed use planned for the IL corridor. Developing this upgrade while the economy is/was down is smart for a number for reasons, job creation and sustainment not the least of them.

I think fluid and easy to navigate roadways would be a draw for companies that run PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, and other higher-end businesses that many seem to want in the area. I am all for it... I just think we need to get the horse in front of the cart.
I have said for the last year or more I wish the city would take what appears to be adequate land and build some access roads around all the retail and restaurants. Learn a lesson from Rivergate that it is a miserable place to try and get through at certain times and especially at Christmas. It keeps people from coming when they know the congestion is going to be such an issue.

I have yet to be truly excited for any new store opening in the area. Inevitably I get excited when something is being built, then I find out what it is and get disappointed.

It's nothing like Hickory Hollow.
It amazes the mentality that some people have on here....yet I see so many "SUMNER" county tags at Rivergate Mall, Rivergate Skate, Olive Garden, TJ MAXX, DSW, Haverty's, Best Buy, and so many other places located in "DAVIDSON" county.

I guess the area isn't dangerous during the times people are spending their money at these establishments.
