Hi Everyone,

We finally have an offer on our home and if all goes well we will be heading your way very soon. Since we are coming from out of state we were wondering if we could get some recommendations as far as auto ins., dentists, physicians/pediatrician, and a property management company to assist us with a rental home until we decide what part of Murfreesboro to buy in. Also, we will be shopping for a short term health insurance policy until my husband can find employment that offers health benefits. We have COBRA as an option but it is very expensive and we want to see if we can obtain coverage for a better price.

Any info you have to share will be appreciated. Thanks in adavance!!

Denist recommendation:

Kimberly Shain, D.M.D
(615) 217-9090
406 Uptown Sq
Murfreesboro, TN 37129

My wife goes to her, and I've only heard positive things about her.

For auto insurance: Farm Bureau (look under Rutherford County Farm Bureau for Murfreesboro . . . and no, you don't have to be a farmer).

Thanks alleycat. I checked them out and rates are almost $500.00 cheaper in TN per year than here in So. California! If everything else compares like the auto insurance we will consider ourselves very blessed to have found such a beautiful, yet affordable place to start over in.

I second the Apartment Locators suggestion, or you could try Barbara with Apartment Selectors, though I'm honestly not sure if they cover Murfreesboro.

Regardless of which service you use to locate an apartment, be sure to ask about the "Big Four" (crime, drugs, gangs, and illegals) before signing a lease anywhere. Nashville (and Murfreesboro) are great places, but we have issues in certain parts of town just like any other city.

Default Farm Bureau

JULY/AUGUST 00 - CORPORATE PIGS AND OTHER TALES OF AGRIBUSINESS

I read about the company in research. Not sure after reading this article I would utilize ANY of their services.
