So my boyfriend and I have our anniversary coming up and need some ideas of things to do! We live in Hendersonville, but going to Nashville is not out of the question. We're still new to the area so we don't really know of anything to do. Anyone have any ideas?

Lots of ideas...but could use some feedback first. Are you guys wanting an expensive romantic date? Budget romantic date? Fun/Silly date? What kinds of food do you guys like? That might help narrow things down.

Nothing expensive. Romantic but not too romantic lol. We're open to any food really. We're mid to high 20's. Hope that helps. Thanks!

Cool. I'd start out by looking at somewhere like Germantown Cafe. Very nice, sorta romantic but not sappy, but might be considered "expensive"...it would probably run you about $60-70 with tip and drinks. But great atmosphere and cool part of town.

Likewise, City House might be a good choice in Germantown too. I've yet to go there but I hear it's fantastic.

A little more casual but still nice is Marche Artisan Foods in East Nashville. Again, you're looking in the $60 range here too probably.

I'll think a little bit more and respond later too.

You may join all the other couples at the Grand Ole Opry. Have a card ready to be passed up for announcement.

Thanks Don! What about some good authentic bbq? We tried center point and were really disappointed.

Arrington Vineyards would be an inexpensive option, as you can bring your own food and buy one of their cheaper bottles of wine (or you don't have to drink), but it'll be a further drive for y'all.
We just went a couple Sundays ago, and it's very pretty and relaxing...

I'm not a huge fan of Center Point, either. If you're in Hendersonville, check out Tom's Blue Moon BBQ in Glenbrook (next to Lifeway). It's consistently good and they have good brisket, which is hard to get right IMO.

If you're wanting something different, you might try Cafe Rakka on New Shackle Island. It was featured in Food Networks' Diners, Drive ins, and Dives a year or so ago. Very small place, but good Mediterreanean food. A little pricey, however. And not exactly "romantic" either really.

Good call on Arrington Vineyards, airen.

I had another thought for a Hendersonville romantic dinner: Nana Rosa on Walton Ferry Rd. At first glance it doesn't look that great...it's in a strip mall...but the food is great, service is good, and the atmosphere is very nice.

I think we are going to try Tazza Cafe. Has anyone ever been? With the CMA awards tonight, it's probably best to stay away from Nashville.
