I am considering a position with Cracker Barrel and would like to chat with anyone working at their corporate HQ. Also, where would you TN folks live if you worked at the HQ? Nice area? I enjoy rural living and am wondering if you can get out of town easily and live in a quiet rural setting. Realtors? Advice? Thanks, I appreciate it

The Wilson County area is pretty nice.

Just a suggestion . . . I would probably draw a circle with one edge being a little east of Lebanon and the other edge being a little west of Mt. Juliet and look anywhere when that circle first (Priest Lake and Cedars of Lebanon State Park would be at the southern edge, Old Hickory Lake at the north). There are rural areas within that area; the further away from the Interstate, the more rural in general. Of course, you can find more rural areas further to the north, east, and southeast of Lebanon, but you could have a problem . . . what if you lose or quit your job at Cracker Barrel? Then you'd probably be looking for another job somewhere in Nashville. If you lived say, 15 miles to the east of Lebanon, you would then have a very difficult commute. If instead you lived somewhere between Mt. Juliet and Lebanon, then you wouldn't have to worry too much about where you lived when you were looking for a new job.

You know how it is these days, any company can downsize or move their headquarters. I would always have an alternate in hand so that I wouldn't have to move if the company I worked for went out of business for whatever reason. In other words, I'm suggesting not basing your decision solely on a location convenient to the Cracker Barrel offices.

Check out the areas's North of Nashville. Hendersonville, Gallatin, White House, Goodlettsville. There are acrage tracts available in these areas. Of course the further out you go the better the prices. Lots of people have moved in here from all over the country, many have relocated from Califormia to this area.
