(Yes, it's true, I have gained 200 pounds since starting these food threads and waiting for Dr. Phil or/or Dr. Oz to show up at my door any minute . . )

I was at Strouds (BBQ in Franklin) getting my Mom some mac & cheese as a treat since I was going out to dinner and she was staying home. I do NOT know what possessed me (yes I do, stress) to ask for a small order of onion rings . . . .

OMG. They were the BEST onion rings I have had down here. Maybe the best I have ever had! I thought Sonic did a decent job. No comparison! These were light and fluffy yet crunchy. It was like Onion Ring Clouds? I'm not kidding, they were awesome. And they make them fresh to order. Only $1.09 I think . . . .

I'm sure I have found the best, but if anyone has any other suggestions for Best Onion Rings, let me know . . . .

Before Dr. Oz pulls into my driveway . . . .

Saffire at the Factory in Franklin has amazing onion rings...and the Bambam dipping sauce really completes the whole experience.

I know Bdubs are not local but so far I have found their onion rings to be the best, especially with their southwest dressing.

I've only had the fried chicken and prime rib there...both were excellent.

Chedders is a a chain, sorry spelled it wrong at first. Very cheap, good food, and large portions. There is one in Mt. Juliet, Smryna, and Hendersonville. I don't know of any other locations, but they have really good onion rings, really big and they give you a lot.

With Bdubs I meant Buffalo Wild Wings . I believe there are plenty around like one in Murfreesboro, Franklin and I am sure Nashville has it too.

I've been to Cheddar's once, good food, didn't try the onion rings though.
