I'll be moving back to Nashville soon, and I'm looking at apartments in the $600-$750 range. I know the city well, but I don't know how the apartments are. I'll be working in the Madison area, but I do not necessarily want to live in that area. Any recommendations on the best areas of town for a young person (I'm in my 20s) looking for a 1 bedroom apartment that would be convenient to that part of town? I value safety over anything else, and I know it really varies neighborhood to neighborhood, and sometimes street to street, on how safe an area is. I'd be willing to increase my budget a little bit if it meant living in a better area, but I couldn't by much.
