It's the big restaurant on the corner where the boat dealership used to be. It was RiffBurgers for a VERY short time, then Route 31 cafe/Marcia's Patisserie.

There are some reviews on Yelp and Urbanspoon.

Sol has closed and it's supposed to be replaced by a steak house of some kind (Japanese?) My friend is married to the head chef and they're supposed to be dividing 55 South and this new steak house (they worked out of the same kitchen.) They're supposed to make use of the atrium over there as well. Not going to lie, I'm excited to see what this brings.

Here's a link to the story from a few days ago:

Jason McConnell knows his stuff. His travels are evident in his menus. He could open a hot dog stand and I'd go. Yep, I'm a fan.

The ice cream is pretty good. I miss Dairy Queen, too, sometimes.
Where Culvers is different is the level of service. Place your order & pay, then go find a seat. You get a number for someone to find you with your meal. Fries come back nice & hot. Save room for frozen custard in a variety of flavors. You can get dinners here.

There is a Dairy Queen (DQ) on Nolensville Pike Store Details - Dairy Queen

There's one on West End too near the 440 on ramp. I've tried the one on West End (meh), have not tried the Nolensville Pike one.

There are dairy queens all over Nashville, or so it seemed to me. There's 1 in Hendersonville (Glenbrook) and 1 in Goodlettsville (Long Hollow at Dickerson) at least.

My in-laws live in Kansas City, MO and they took us to Granite City when were visiting them last summer. It was absolutely delicious. We all loved our food.

There is a fairly new restaurant downtown on 3rd and Demonbruen called The Southern. The food is good, their wine list is to be desired though. Our party found it hard to carry on a conversation there; bad acoustics. The night we were there the place filled up with smoke from the kitchen and it worried everyone. After our meal there we all needed to get our clothes dry cleaned that's for sure. But there is a vibe in there that makes one want to go back.

Our server was good, she described the entrees for us and answered our questions with a smile. A well dressed guy opened the door for us as we entered. He took us around for a quick tour of the place which we really appreciated and when the smoke filled up the restaurant he went from table to table assuring everyone that all was well and he apologized profusely for the incident (something with their vents). We assumed Mike was the owner, but he is not, it his brother Tom who is a managing investor I am told by a colleague. I am in the music industry and several music execs are investors there, as well. We went back last week to give it a second try and see our buddy Mike but he was no longer there they told us. We had a great meal and I forgot to mention that their bathrooms are very cool....I recommend it.

Sounds like fun! I love restaurants with funky bathrooms. I remember one in Minneapolis where there were one way mirrors in the stalls so you could see out but people walking by just saw a mirror. But if you know where to stand (outside, looking at the mirror) you could really freak people out!

Here is the restaurant for the Southern!

One of my favorites so far. The gumbo was really good, as was the steak of the day, cut to order and cooked perfectly.
