Will soon be relocating to the Lebanon area. I have family back in Chicago area that would like to take train down to visit, but i see the amtrack stations only go to Memphis and Newburn, which is still over 3 hours away. I am just trying to find an easy way for family to come down without going from train to bus or train to rental car and being on the rd even longer??

I wouldn't bother with the train.

I think it would be cheaper in the end to find a deal on Southwest and fly out of Midway.

You can leave from both Chicago and Nashville in the early afternoon, and arrive at night. You wouldn't have to wait in the dark unless you ride to pick you up was late.

I think flying is the way to go, too. If you get tickets far enough in advance from Southwest.com, you can probably get round-trips for ~$80 per person...that's about $20 more than the bus fare from either Greyhound or Megabus...and it saves a good 16 hours of travel over the course of the trip (I'd say that's worth $20 bucks per).
