Thanks Edgefield and Wmns for the advice. I've only been here 2 weeks and am boggled by all the great and distinct neighborhoods in Nashville. Of course, coming from SF I also appreciate the beautiful fall colors and loved the lightening and thunder storm as we don't get much of either in SF. I will rent for a half year or so to figure out where I want to live. Also, am into bicycling and love to cycle hills so will be looking for that sort of access. If anyone has adivice would love to hear it. So gad I found this forum!

My partner usually bikes from our house, up through the neighborhood to Shelby Bottoms and takes the pedestrian bridge over the river to Percy Priest dam every Saturday morning. Some parts are very hilly (so I don't go with him
