We are looking for the best public schools in Hendersonville/Sumner County - elementary, middle, & high schools. Anyone have some input here? Also, which schools should we stay away from?

Thank you!

Indian Lake Elementary, IMO, is the best elementary school around! You will not find a better school, more caring teachers or a better PTO organization anywhere! Sorry, but I cannot comment personally on Ellis Middle School or Hendersonville High, but I can only imagine with the same family base as ILE, they have to be good. Plus the area, a peninsula on the lake, is not hurting for money!

Awesome, statefan, thank you very much! We have 2 kids that will be going into elementary, 3 in middle, and 4 in high school. Oh yeah, and a partridge in a pear tree!

Thank you - anyone else? Anything about middle or high schools?

Here is a link that will help you with your decision. Alot of people relocating to Sumner County are asking for the Station Camp High School area.

Very good schools in Hendersonville, although I agree Indian Lake is the best.
