A friend and I went down a few weeks ago on a perfect fall day. I love history and thought it was very well done. If you've been, what did you think?

It's very well done. I like how they put a "break" in the wall to symbolize the Civil War.

It's even better when they have Tennessee History Day, with re-enactors from eras ranging from earliest Native Americans to Vietnam vets who explain their role in history. They hold it on a date sometime between September and November, but not sure when.

It also offers the best view of the state capitol.

I agree that the break in the wall for the Civil War is excellent - really a good way to symbolize it and in keeping with the "wall" theme. The view is excellent. The day I was there the trees were glorious - red, gold, orange. It was amazing. I also liked the carillon(sp?) bells in the music section - they had a lovely sound. The whole thing is just so well done - I highly recommend it.
