Are the red light cameras in Franklin only for driving straight through the intersection, or also for right turns on red? I understand how the straight through cameras work, but don't see how the right turn on red ones would work. How does the camera know if you came to a complete stop? Yet I have seen some info that right turn on red cameras are being used in some cities. Thanks.

The cameras in Franklin are not "red light cameras" like you're thinking. They're only for monitoring traffic, not catching drivers and sending out tickets.

You can view the work of the traffic cameras on during rush hour on Channel 10.

I didn't think we had red light cameras but that is interesting that you can watch the traffic cameras on channel 10

Only during rush hour. I would think they would have a link on the webpage where you can see the live view from each camera like Brentwood does, but I could not find it.

Be thankful you don't have the redlight cameras like we do here in Murfreesboro. I think they cause more wrecks than they prevent due to people slamming on their breaks to avoid the ticket last minute.
