Hello,

I am trying to find other Home Improvement stores beside Home Depot and Lowes. I think their prices are way to high and local store have better ones like on windows.

Anyone who knows of stores here in Nashville?

Thank you

I think the abundance of hardware stores are part of what earned Nashville "Manliest city" a couple of years ago.

Can't say for sure but you could see what Ace's prices are like. That's pretty much the only other hardware chain store I know.

I would check out Hailey Salvage and Building Material on Dickerson Pike. Also check out the local Habitat Restore locations. There's one next to Yazoo in the Gulch.

Went there to the the Hailey Salvage and Building Material. Great place, but they only have used material which is not bad and I actual found something there. I need also insulation material and I do not want to use used ones. Beside that they don't have insulation stuff. Home Depot, Lowes and ACE are very expensive in insulation material.

Surplus stores is what you will want to look for. Also Craigslist can be a good source if you are looking for smaller quantities.

Craigslist do only have small amounts and the only surplus store I could find is in Madison. All other surplus stores are Military items.
Do they may have another name beside surplus?
