There was a large red brick building with a big front porch and rocking chairs, white columns, and a yard that I think was an old folks/retirement home. It was between Centennial Park and 31st Ave South, on the opposite side of the road from the Parthenon. I'm thinking it was right around 28th Ave South. It was there when I was a kid in the 60s and I can't remember when they tore it down - but it was an old building by then. I'm thinking it was two stories with an attic. Does anyone remember this? If so, what was it? I don't remember there being a sign of any kind.
