I looked up the size of the Gibson Showcase and it said it was 35,000 sq feet. But H&M might need more room for storage?

I went to ATL this month and made a point to go to H&M. I used to shop there in NYC when I lived there. I didnt find anything this time but maybe I have changed styles or something. It just didnt appeal to me anymore.

With all of that said, I am glad to see them moving into TN. I feel like Nashville needed one a while ago. Glad to have some new stores moving into the state.

I don't know what H&M is... But then again, most of my clothes have holes.

The old Gibson space is "Anchor J" on the Opry Mills map. It looks like it'll be about the same size as the Saks Off 5th. Not a massive space like the Atlantic Station store or some of the others I've seen, but it should have a decent selection at that size. I'm already picking out hoodies and sweaters.

Atlantic station store is a flagship store which carries the designer collaborations. They recently just expanded the store. I think this one will be the size of Mall of Ga store

The official word is that it will be a full-concept store:

I'm shocked that Nashville doesn't already have H&M, for a city that's supposedly becoming this hip and trendy place. I think it's weird there's no Ikea either, but that's more because of how much the area has grown.

I'm in the same boat. When I first heard about this, I asked a younger coworker if this is the same store that's at the corner of Highland and Poplar in Memphis. She looked terribly insulted and made me feel very, very old. Her response: "No, that's K and G. They're NOT the same! Not even close to the same!"

I thought -- Look sweetheart, the only stores with initial-names I know are TG & Y and A & P. H&M means nothing to me. But you go shop your young heart out there and enjoy it.

Oh, and...

Get off my lawn!
