how to do a location search (Franklin, Walnut Grove: home, middle school, subdivision)

Hello-could you search experts help me out with this? Is it possible to do a location/area search when using realtracs/something similar?
For example, I want to do a search within a 5 mile proximity to Downtown Franklin/Leiper's Fork. Is there a way to do this? In other words, would like to find a home in between those two.

I don't think there's a way to search by mileage from a certain area on Realtracs. Pretty much it's either zip code or specific subdivision/area. However, I would suggest finding either an Elementary or Middle School near the area you're looking at and use that as a search criteria to whittle down the results. That should narrow the mileage down quite a bit. One word of caution, realtors will occasionally either leave the school zone information off of the listing or it will be completely wrong. So there's a chance you might miss out on some listings using this method.

Zillow.com might be helpful? Gives you a huge map you can scroll around . . THEN you can search for the home address on RealTracs.

Just search for a zip code map that includes the areas you want, then enter those into the zip code field on Realtracs.

You basically want 37064.

Realtor have to specify the schools it's required input. But Don is right, they are not always the correct ones.

You can do that on realtor.com Put in the main location and then under search other areas you can specify either the town names or the number of miles from teh starting point.

To search the are by Schools between Downtown and Leipers Fork WCS will be Hillsboro, Pearre Creek and possibly Walnut Grove. FSSD it is harder to search by elementary school but Johnson and Franklin I think are the two.
