If so, I agree with you completely. I'm thinking seriously of a job possibility in Nashville, and if I accept it I'd like to live in Goodlettsville just so I can have this view every morning in my commute.
The first pic is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Thanks for that pic, I can never even attempt to take it because I'm driving! But that's it.

It's so dramatic because it just comes out of nowhere. You're coming along on 65 and see signs for Clarksville, and trees etc, and then it just clears out. And bam. Nashville.

Also, another reason I like the north view is because the hills look so big behind the downtown density. As if the hill is directly behind downtown. Of course, the hills fade as you get closer to the 65 (former 265 lol) change to the east.

Longview Ave, just above I-440. It would likely be the spot with low vegetation just down and to the left.

It lines up nearly perfectly with the 5th Ave corridor, which can be seen between the Fifth Third (old Third National) and James K Polk buildings.

I'm about 95% sure this is where it was taken. The only other possible spots are several miles further out, and I determined that the power lines in both pics are from a small substation directly across from the Fairgrounds Speedway.
