Hi all..
Have recently started looking more at Thompson's Station. I see it is very small. Can you give me a general feel of the town. What businesses are there, etc..Thanks~

Right now it is the country.

With a little more than 2K people, it is half the size of Nolensville.

Everything orients toward Spring Hill next door. There are no real businesses to speak of in TS proper, except for gas station on the highway and small-biz professional service like vets and mechanics.

There was one major corporate relocation there last year, Mars Petcare. They broke ground on an $80 million HQ building there last year and all those people will need places to eat lunch and shop, so the boom days for Thompsons Station are ahead.

Some neighbors of mine sold their house here in Fieldstone Farms and bought 7 acres in TS and are building their dream house! I don't think Domino's delivers out there but I do agree that in 10 years you probably won't recognize the place.

Thompson Station is going to be growing.....New Hospital affiliated with Vandy, MARS petcare, New walmart (the walmart comment is based on their corporate due diligence, they build in areas with large enough numbers or potential)

They're building a Walmart in Spring Hill. They're not going to build one in Thompson's Station.

Is the hospital just rumor or is there some progress on that yet? Do you know what it will be named? Would love to stay informed on that..

Sounds like a rumor.

Vanderbilt is building its next facility on 22 acres off Carothers Parkway in Franklin but hasn't said anything about Thompsons Station.

Vanderbilt is also partnering with Maury Regional for a facility that is U/C at Port Royal & Saturn Parkway.

And there is an HCA facility U/C an exit down at Kedron Rd.

Thompson's Station might get some kind of medical research facility or clinic, but not a full-blown hospital. Why locate in Thompson's Station when you can be in a town 10x bigger just to the south?

Do you know what type of facility this would be?
