Well, we returned to our home in Alabama last night and I have to tell you..we can't wait until our move to Tennessee. :-)

Alley Cat....the Delta area of the Opryland Hotel was beautiful and we took the Delta Boat ride. Our 7-year-old granddaughter was in 7th Heaven. :-)
(So was her Gnonna...that would be me.)

The restaurants were all good but we all agreed that we couldn't remember ever having a better steak than we had at the Old Hickory Steakhouse. If you live in the Nashville area you would be wise to visit this steakhouse for dinner one evening.

We went shopping at the Opry Mills and our granddaughter had a blast playing glow golf. We were planning to catch one of the 20 movies that was showing there but we just ran out of time. We saw the Adventure Science Center and she and my husband plan to visit that real soon. They love the McWane Center in Birmingham and from the brochures we picked up it promises to be much better.

We went to the Pumpkin Festival in Franklin and just fell in love with that little town. We had fun and she painted a pumpkin. We had lunch in one of the little downtown restaurants and the food was wonderful.

I just can't say enough good things about the area and we are sooo looking forward to the move.

Donna

Glad you made it to Franklin. I agree about the festival. We have several through the year, and they're all so much fun. When I was in Nashville working for the week in 2000, I drove to Franklin and walked up and down Main St. I decided then and there that if my family came to TN, I wanted to find a way to live in Franklin. We did, and we've never regretted it.

Hope you find the perfect place for you!

Donna,
Glad you had a great time. I'm sure you and your family will thoroughly enjoy the area. When are ya'll planning on moving up? BTW, there is a very active Alabama Alumni association here. How did your exam go?

Our plans are to move in January. I won't be finished with my real estate class until mid December and will take the state board shortly thereafter.

Is the Alabama Alumni on line or where?
