I'd just moved here last year and had to go to DC for work, so I missed it. But I drove back from the airport about 1:00 AM, got confused and took 24 not 40 and ended up going over the bridge right into downtown which was SWARMING with people at that time.

Got tickets for all 4 nights at LP field and tickets for the 4 days during the day. Plus there is a lot of free music during the day. And some other good shows going on (Jonathan Jackson and enation at 3rd&Lindsley and Dawes at the ryman on Sunday 6/9. I seemed to have double-booked myself!

Ugh. I usually plan my vacation around CMA Fest so I'm out of town (I work downtown...it's chaos). Unfortunately, I couldn't pull it off this year.

Glad people love coming here and enjoying what we have to offer. But it sure is hard to do business downtown during that week. I have a feeling we better get used to it once the Music City Center gets really rolling.

The early forecast predicts it will have a high of only 86 dropping into the 70's for Saturday/Sunday. It will seem cold compared to the usual 80's & 90's. Still, there will be some that need plenty of water to be safe! I would expect some afternoon/evening showers to go with the cooler temps.

Just went out for a work break and the concerts have started already. Hunter Hayes was filmed for something. And there are shows on the stage on Broadway (in the street) outside of Bridgestone tonight at 7:00 PM. Justin Moore plays later. Jason Aldean supposedly plays on the stage right outside Bridgestone's door sometime tonight. Didn't walk down past 3rd, so not sure what's going on down on 2nd/1st/Riverfront.

There's a lot of tents, etc on 1st. Didn't venture down that way today, just what I saw crossing over the Gateway Bridge.

Yay! Broadway's shut down for a parade, making downtown mostly inaccesible! :|

I really should go out of town this week every year so I don't complain.

What kind of parade? I saw that they released the new Johnny Cash stamp at the Ryman this morning but can't imagine a 'stamp parade' . . . . .
